The Integrated programme is one continuous programme that takes you from zero
experience to obtaining a commercial pilot license in the shortest possible time.
It follows a structured single course divided into carefully planned training
stages, designed to take you from no previous experience in aviation all the way
to the ATPL licence in one go.
An integrated program is the fastest and most efficient way to get your flight
education. It also forces the students give the course the full attention it deserves
because integrated programs can be quite intense.
The Modular programme is designed to take you from zero experience, to
obtaining a commercial pilot licence, in a step-by-step stage. You begin by doing
PPL theory (100 hours), taking the exams, and doing your PPL flying and skill test,
after which you become a Private Pilot.
This means that your training progresses through a series of modules. Each
module will be a step forward on your training schedule, but you don’t need to
commit to take all of them at once.
The primary advantage of the modular pathway is that it can be completed at
your own pace and it’s custom based on fitting your needs. You can either choose
to do it on a part-time or full-time basis. You also have room to select the rate at
which you want to progress.
Key Aviation Terms Explained
Here are some of the most common terms you’ll encounter in aviation training and what they mean:
This is the first license you’ll need if you want to fly recreationally or start your journey toward becoming a professional pilot. With a PPL, you can fly small aircraft for non-commercial purposes.
Once you’ve completed your PPL, the CPL allows you to fly for a living. This license is essential if you want to become a professional pilot.
This allows you to fly aircraft with more than one engine. It’s an additional qualification on top of your pilot license.
This qualification allows you to fly in poor weather conditions using only instruments to navigate. It’s critical for pilots who want to fly commercially.
This is the highest level of pilot certification. It qualifies you to be the captain of an airline aircraft.
How to Get Your PPL
Step 1: Ground School
You’ll start by learning the theory: aircraft systems, weather, navigation, and regulations. This is typically classroom-based or online.
Step 2: Flight Training
You’ll then spend a set number of hours flying with an instructor, learning basic maneuvers, take-offs, landings, and emergency procedures.
Step 3: Solo Flying
After completing the required training, you’ll fly solo under the supervision of your instructor
Step 4: Final Exam
After your flight hours and ground school, you’ll take a practical test (check ride) with an examiner. Passing this exam gives you your PPL.
