Aviation Foundation Course
Ground School, specifically the ATPL Theoretical Examinations, is the first step in your Career. Applicants come from all parts of the world and have different levels of experience, and we have noticed that Cadets with English as their second language are very good at understanding aviation concepts, but find the official examinations to be a greater challenge in comparison to native English speakers.
To help alleviate this problem, we have designed a more contemporary course, named the Aviation Foundation Course, that greatly assists your initial training, and prepares you for Ground School and what’s to come.
The course is split into four components: English, Mathematics, Physics and Aviation English, and is the starting point for all new Cadets. By understanding Aviation definitions, Physics Concepts and the level of Mathematics that you require for you ATPL Examinations, studying and passing your exams becomes a significantly easier process. It also has the additional benefit of preparing you for the EASA English Language Proficiency Test, and contains content that comes on Airline Assessment Tests.
In line with our detailed support for our Foreign Cadets, we are Proud to say that we are also licensed as a Language Assessment Body, abbreviated to LAB.
We know that English Language Training, especially the Proficiency Examination, can be very challenging for those who speak English as a second language. To this end, we have designated courses for ELP Exam Preparation, and help our Cadets meet the levels required to operate in the Aviation Industry.
Overall, the ELP Examination is one of the requirements for being issued a Commercial Pilot License so we know its importance. It is slightly different from other Aviation tests and exams that pilots must endure, since it purely assesses a candidate’s English ability and not their knowledge of aviation theory. It is not a long test, and only takes approximately one hour. That being said, we recommend doing this test towards the end of the course, since you will have more experience in the industry and a wider range of Vocabulary that will help you achieve a higher score.
We take flight training seriously, therefore we have a designated on-site training simulator to assist our Cadets during their training. Having a good understanding of basic Flight Controls and the Checklists and Procedures will greatly maximize the time spent in the aircraft.
Our simulator is fully functional and based on Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, which is one of the most accurate flight training simulators currently available. It gives our Ab-Initio Cadets an excellent foundation for what to expect when flying an Aircraft at a later stage in the training.
It also gives students the option of additional support and training, without incurring any extra costs or expenses in one of our aircrafts.
